Ben qualified at Sheffield University in 1998 and had a
brief spell in Stockholm at the Karolinska institute.
He is the chairman of the Local Dental Council and a
Representative on several committees of the British Dental
Association.
Ben is a great fan of the outdoors and will often be found
with a pair of ski’s strapped to his feet, or spending
time chasing the rabbits off his gladioli.
Ben’s passion for teaching is gathering pace. His time
spent with the dental students at the University of
Manchester often reminds him about what made him become a
dentist in the first place. |

Dr Simon
Cove |

|
Simon graduated at Newcastle in 2003 and has worked in
both dental practices and as an SHO in Oral and Facial
surgery. He is hoping to at a later date to develop his
experience of placing implants.
Simon has a variety of interests which include (very)
amateur dramatics, cooking and playing football and more
recently attempting to become a guitar virtuoso.
Generally he is quite informal, but that works for him!! |

Anindita Ternent |

Ani trained as a dentist in Liverpool and qualified in
2003. She has a dental degree and a degree in
Microbiology.
Ani joined our dental team in 2006. She travels from Sale
everyday, where she lives with her husband Tim.
She enjoys shopping and light exercise. Ani enjoys
travelling and has been to many different countries
including: Spain, Canada and India |

Dr Samuel Wong |

|
Sam graduated at the University College in London in 1986.
He then went to explore china, backpacking, before
returning to study for his Masters degree in Sheffield.
He then started his own practice at the age of 26 in Kent,
before joining his wife (who is also a dentist) in
Thailand for 5 years, doing volunteer work treating monks.
Sam brought his family back from Thailand and settled in
Manchester, where he joined our dental team in 2006.
Sam is passionate about homeopathy and often uses little
pills to treat patients, friends and family. He spends his
spare time practicing yoga, china painting and inspecting
his garden.
Sam is a Christian, in October 2007 donated time to
“Bridge2aid” in Tanzania, to train local regional officers
to extract teeth safely. |

Dr James Foley |
|
|
|
James qualified from Manchester university in 2006, and
went on to work in Wigan before he became a member of our
team in 2007.
He lives in South Manchester but is originally from
Liverpool.
Outside of dentistry he spends following Liverpool
Football Club. He also likes listening to music and
attending various concerts and gigs.
James also likes many other sports including cricket,
rugby and golf. |

Dr Vishal Aggarwal |

|
Vishal trained at the Victoria University of Manchester
and graduated in 1998. He also has a fellowship of the
Royal College of Surgeons of England and a PhD.
Vishal was born in Kenya and moved to the UK at the age of
16 to study dentistry.
He likes to travel which has taken him back to Kenya, and
all around the UK. He has also travelled to India where he
has volunteered to serve at a dental clinic on an annual
basis. Vishal is fluent in several languages and enjoys
cooking a variety of foods particularly curry.
Father to two young children, Vishal has little time for
himself but in his spare time he enjoys distance running
and playing competitive squash in the North West Countries
Squash League. |

Dr Maysoon Abdelmajeed |
|
|
|
Maysoon qualified at the University of Manchester in 2006.
She is also sitting more exams to obtain MFDS and develop
her skills in oral surgery.
Growing up on the sandy beaches of Dubai, Maysoon became
fond of the sea and enjoys swimming, water/jet skiing and
scuba diving.
Maysoon likes to play squash at a competitive level and
has played for the Dubai Reebok league and the British
Universities Sports Association.
She believed patients should always leave with a smile on
their faces and that’s what she strives to achieve! |

Dr Ann Ochano |

|
Ann qualified at
Manchester
University in 1997 and has worked in both practice and in
hospital.
Once a year Ann work’s as a volunteer Dentist either in
the UK with the homeless, or aboard in
India.
Ann has also recently completed a Diploma of Member of the
Faculty of Dental Surgery.
She enjoys travelling to distant corners of the earth,
going off the beaten track, cooking and eating good food.

Mrs Joan Dawson |

|
Joan has worked at the practice for over 30 years and is
the founding member of our great team.
She has worked as a receptionist for 2 previous dentists
before Dr Ben Atkins took over and made her manager in
2002.
Joan has two children and three grandchildren who she
looks after one day a week with her husband Jim.
When time allows, Joan enjoys walking, gardening and handy
crafts. |

Mrs Hardeep Singh |

Dee started in 2005 working as a therapist, after
qualifying at Manchester University
She has lived in Stretford all her life, and enjoys
drawing, painting and going to the gym.
After a long hard week at work
Dee likes to let her hair down and
paint the town red! |

Ms Debra Burgess |
|
|
|
Debra trained as a dental nurse when she left school in
1979.
She has two daughters, one dog and two cats, oh and three
rabbits. So her family life keeps her pretty busy!
Debra has been a part of our team since 2004 and is
studying for a diploma in practice management and a post
qualification in dental sedation.
Debra was made Practice Manager in 2006. |

Mrs Clare Doherty |

|
Clare originally intended to work as a general nurse and
completed two years working and training in
Bradford.
She qualified as a dental nurse in 1997, and worked in
other local practices and Manchester dental hospital
before joining our team in 2003.
Clare has gained a post qualification in dental
radiography and was made head dental nurse at the practice
in 2006.
Clare has been married to Tony since 2004, and in her
spare time she enjoys running and modelling wedding
dresses at bridal fairs. |

Miss Emma Power |

|
|
Emma has been part of our team since 2003. She started
working part time while studying at college.
After completing two years doing a public service course
she became a full time trainee dental nurse. She then went
on to qualify as a dental nurse in 2005.
After twelve months of dental nursing she decided
reception was best, where she excelled and has developed
the role of head receptionist to a new level.
Emma is living with her partner Gary, and enjoys going to
the gym and socializing with friends and family. |

Nicola lives in Eccles with her daughter Georgia.
When Nicola left school she became a trainee dental nurse
but left to explore other opportunities. After the birth
of her daughter in 1998 she went back into dental nursing
and qualified as a dental nurse in 2003.
Nicola has been a part of our team since 2001.
Nicola also passed her dental radiography course in 2004
as well as a health and social care course at the open
university leading towards a degree in Health studies. She
enjoys walking at weekends with her daughter and catching
up with friends. |

Mrs Louise Waltho |

|
|
Louise is a newly wed; she got married to Paul in 2007.
She had a baby girl in 2006 called Poppy.
She joined our team in 2003 as a dental nurse and prefers
the nursing side of the job to reception.
Louise is 18 at heart, and enjoys going out with friends
or staying at home with her family.
Louise has a twin sister and an older sister who she lives
very close to, which is the way she likes it. |

Miss Natalie Sterna |

|
Natalie has been part of our team since 2006. She joined
us after completing three years at Bury Collage studying
Biology, Psychology, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
Natalie passed her dental nursing exam in 2007 and plans
to complete as many post qualifications as possible so she
can eventually go on to be a Dental Therapist or
Radiographer.
In her spare time Natalie likes to spend time with her
friends and travel to Southport to see her boyfriend, Ste.

Miss Faye Greenhalgh |

Faye has been apart of our team since 2005. She is
planning on taking her dental nursing exam soon and with
then go on to complete many post qualifications.
Faye lives in Swinton with her boyfriend Steve, her mum
and step dad and her step brother Jake. She has a dog
named Copper and is the only girl of seven children.
She enjoys shopping, traveling, socializing and going to
the gym. |

Mrs Helen Ashworth |

Helen joined us in 2007 to work on reception.
She was born and brought up in
Belfast,
but everyone seems to think she is Welsh because of her
accent. Helen did live in Wales for 30 years.
Helen has one son who is 26 and moved to Manchester in
2005 where she met her husband James.
Her hobbies include walking and reading. |

Mrs Sue Greenhalgh |

Sue has been part of our team since 2006. She originally
started as a cleaner but enjoyed working with us so much
she became a Cross Infection Control Supervisor in 2007.
You will find Sue in the sauna like room on the first
floor with the steamed up glasses.
Sue has two sons who are Simon and Michael. She enjoys
gardening and reading in her spare time as well as doing
D.I.Y around the house. |
